Limerick comic book artist’s Declan Shalvey and Philip Barrett launched the Savage Town exhibition at Ormston House last week. ‘Savage Town’ is an original Irish graphic crime novel from Declan, Philip and Jordie Bellaire, a two-timer Eisner winning colourist.

I hate trying to lose weight. It's horrible, restricting and heart-shattering when you gain weight. But I'm trying to none the less. Last August, before my twentieth birthday, I weighed the most I had ever weighed in my entire life. I weighed 250pounds, and I felt horrible. It was then that I decided that that's not how I want to feel. I decided I wanted to be happy and feel healthy.
